Yoga for Athletes
The Yoga for Athletes series is designed to introduce yoga poses, stretching techniques, and breath awareness to improve athletic performance, recovery and overall physical wellbeing.
This series is a slower paced class with a focus on targeting flexibility and mobility, along with balance and stability, alignment and efficient movement patterns. This practice will also have a strong emphasis on breath awareness to reduce stress, improve concentration and assist relaxation.
This series is perfect for athletes in organized sports programs (high school, college, adult recreation leagues), Crossfit athletes, endurance athletes, weekend warriors, golfers, tennis players, as well as those with physically demanding professions (such as first responders, firefighters, etc.)
The class is offered in a moderately heated studio, with temperature set at 89 degrees.
Optional hands on assisting will be offered to guide alignment or deepen stretching.
