Frequently Asked Questions
I am a beginner, what should I know?
All of our classes are designed to be accessible for anyone. We also offer warm Power Yoga Foundation classes that will break down the poses, focus on alignment, and move at a slower pace.
Please arrive 15 minutes early to meet your teacher and ask questions. Bring a mat & water bottle. If you don’t have a mat, you can rent or purchase one at the studio. We will provide you with a hand towel, and we also have water for purchase.
What is “Infrared” heat?
Infrared heat allows you to feel the warmth of the sun on a sunny day inside a yoga room without any of the harmful UV rays. Unlike traditional heating systems that blow warm air into the room and often distribute bacteria, mold, and allergens, infrared heating panels, similar to the sun, silently warm objects in a clean and healthful way leaving you feeling energized. Infrared heat has many health benefits, including detoxification, increased circulation, anti-aging and skin purification, muscle recovery and pain relief, and weight loss.
What about hydration?
We recommend drinking coconut water or water with electrolytes before, during, and after class. We have a filtered water bottle filler in the studio and coconut water is available for purchase.
Do you have showers?
Yes, we have two showers equipped with bath products available to use. Please bring your own bath towel.
Is there a locker room / changing area?
Yes, we have plenty of changing room available for women and men. We have a women’s locker room and two separate changing areas.
Do you have hand towels?
Yes, we have complimentary hand towels for class. Eucalyptus soaked towels will also be distributed at the end of our heated classes.
Do you have mats for rent?
Yes, we have Jade mats and Manduka Yogitoes mat towels available to rent, each for $2.
What is your policy on cell phones?
We ask that you leave your cell phone outside the yoga room. If you are expecting an important call, you can leave your phone at the front desk and we will be sure to get you if the call comes through. And of course, always let us know if there are special circumstances!
