Liz Snyder is a 500 hour E-RYT and Baptiste Certified Yoga Instructor based out of NJ. She graduated from Franklin and Marshall College as a Business and Psychology major and captain of the Women's Basketball team. She first found yoga in college to supplement her basketball career, and was pleasantly surprised to find more than what the physical effects the practice had to offer her. With her athletic background, she teaches a challenging and accessible Baptiste power flow, focused on increasing strength, flexibility, and possibility for her students on their mats and in their lives.
She has completed Baron Baptiste's level 1, 2, and 3 week-long trainings, as well as Art of Assisting and Advanced Art of Assisting. She also completed the Baptiste Fit to Lead year-long program in April 2018. She teaches at the only Baptiste affiliate in NYC, Lyons Den Power Yoga, co-founded by Bethany Lyons and John Murray. She is committed to training teachers in the Baptiste methodology and has assisted many Baptiste programs, including 2 week-long trainings, led by Paige Elenson.
Liz is passionate about contributing to Africa Yoga Project (AYP), a non-profit organization dedicated to training yoga teachers in Africa to teach free yoga classes throughout the country. In March 2016, she assisted a 200 hour Baptiste teacher training in Kenya to benefit AYP, and currently is part of the AYP mentorship program, in which she mentors a teacher in Africa throughout his teaching career.
Her intention is to use Baptiste Yoga to inspire real transformation in her students’ yoga practice as well as their lives and is thrilled to bring Baptiste Yoga to North Jersey!
