Mindfulness Group for Children with Anxiety (ages 8-11)
Research shows that mindfulness practice changes the brain in the areas responsible for a child’s emotional regulation skills. Children in the group will engage in group discussion, breathing exercises, mindfulness activities, guided meditation, and gentle yoga poses aimed at identifying their thoughts and feelings and calming their nervous system. This group will assist in decreasing anxiety symptoms and increasing self-esteem and positive mood. Space is limited.
