Power Yoga Teen Foundations (4 week series)

Learn the basics of power yoga and sun salutations.  Each week, we will focus on specific poses to learn the proper form and alignment.  After we focus on form and breathing, we will combine poses to practice power flows.  This is the perfect class for teens that are committed to other activities, but would like to cross train with yoga.  No experience required!

Instructor: Shannon McGuire, YogaKids Instructor

Shannon McGuire, CYKT began practicing yoga after suffering a head injury in 2008.  The benefits of her practice changed her life.  After her son was diagnosed with epilepsy in 2016, Shannon became increasingly aware of the benefits yoga would bring to his life and decided to become a Certified YogaKids Teacher with YogaKids International.

While pursuing her 200 hours in children's yoga, Shannon completed our first yoga teacher training at Home Power Yoga, Journey Home. She believes all children can benefit from intentional breath and movement and leaves class inspired by all of her students.  In addition to teaching at HOME, Shannon teaches at several local preschools that offer yoga in their curriculum.

Shannon is a local Mom to three children and is thrilled to be sharing her passion with the children at HOME, a place filled with love, compassion trust, and acceptance.
