Alison Gryzb is a passionate teacher of vinyasa yoga, yoga for athletes and children’s yoga. She walked into her first hot yoga class as a runner recovering from a back injury, fell in love instantly with the demanding and healing physical practice and eventually dedicated herself to the emotional and mental connection as well.
Originally from Louisville, Kentucky, Alison attended college at Indiana University and studied education and psychology. She entered the fitness industry as an Instructor of SLT and brings that intensity to her yoga classes mixed with patience and sweet southern charm. Alison is a sports lover who works with athletes of all ages, and teaches at a hockey camp where her sons attend. She also loves helping fellow moms find some peace.
Alison trained 200 hours under Heather Sheridan and Julie Gurevich. She then gained her 40 hour Karma Kids and Teen Certification in NYC and 40 hour Joga (Yoga for Athletes) certification in Toronto. She is currently completing a 300-hr teacher training program with Bethany Lyons at Lyons Den Power Yoga, the only Baptiste Affiliate studio in NYC. You’ll feel Ali’s wealth of knowledge, positivity, and warmth from the second you walk in the door!
